Finally back to blogging ...

Such a busy week. As least that's what I feel. Konkon is not napping a lot recently so I practically got not much time for myself. And also he just want to stick around with me. STICK. And by the time he decided to turn in for the night, I am so drained that I just wanna lie down on the bed. Yeah, just lie down and let my body rest.

Decided to upgrade my Flickr account because I have too much pictures to upload ... Took me quite a while to decide to upgrade it. Though still not very familiar on how to use it... but so far I like it ... =)

Some pictures of konkon ...

Really like this picture

Hubby keeps getting activated for work recently .... and Konkon decided that since daddy has to go to work... He shall tag along ...

Weekends with Lewis Yanwen and Chlovelle

It's saturday and hubby is around! Konstanz woke up early as usual (7+am) and kept crying and crying. I hate it when he does that. He seems to have crying spells in the morning, evening and before he heads for bed. But recently, he just seems to cry pretty often throughout the day. Hai.. Hope he grows out of this crying phrase soon.

We met up with Lewis, Yanwen and Chlovelle at Marina Square.

Before we met up, we had lunch at The Hand Burger. The last time I had their burgers was when probably more than a year ago. And I didn't remember that it taste that good. LOL. I really enjoy my lunch! ^^ Photos are in hubby's SLR. Shall upload them when I get the CF card reader.

*EDITED* Ok, finally upload pictures from hubby's SLR.

Hubby ordered this

This is what I ordered. Sorry for the poorly taken picture. Not very good with the SLR yet.

Yes. Very sian. Very moody.

Konkon kept crying over during the lunch. But this time because he was tired and needs a nap. So I had to breastfeed him to sleep and have my lunch at the same time. Well, at least he's quiet and sleeping. After lunch, we walked over to Marina Square to find Lewis, Yanwen and Chlovelle.

Konkon's hands are so cute when he sleep! Just can't relax! hahaha ...
And why the frowning expression?

Met up with Lewis and family at Coffee Club. Konkon seems happy to see them....

Look at how Konkon is smiling? The lower lips is suck in when he smiles. Yanwen notices it too.

Lewis feels konkon's gaze is very 深情. LOL.

Konkon and Velle. So cute together!

So Cute!

Still looks good with flash! See the toy phone that Konkon is holding? Velle is so sweet to bring it for Konkon to play.

Happy Konkon. Happy Velle velle. =)

*Credits to Yanwen for the pictures*

After Marina Square, we walked over to Suntec. We went to Toyrus.

Er... What's this?

What happens in the office stays in the office ....

Today is a long and tiring day for me ...
Went to KK hospital to visit lala's newborn. Poor little baby. Was having fever on the day of discharge and got to be re-admitted to KK hospital at night. I am still having cough and flu, so I can hug and carry the baby. =(
Hope he gets well soon.

After KK hospital. Me and konkon went to the office. While I was talking to the boss, I think konkon is having his own fun in the office ......

Looks like when mummy is busy. Konkon is busy having fun too ....

The day konstanz is born ....

I only started blogging recently (May 2012) ... But I wanted to keep all the memories in this blog ... So I decided to start blogging about the day Konkon is born ... I shall put the date to a later date so that it doesn't look too messy to read my blog .. Will continue to blog about everyday and also hopefully I can blog about the past few months with Konkon as soon as possible .... I hope to be able to remember everything as much as possible ... Ever since I was pregnant ... My memory wasn't as good as before ...

Konkon was supposed to be induced on 26 September 2011 ... Ever since I was pregnant with him .. I prayed almost every night .. Prayed for him to grow normally and beautifully inside me ... I even bought a book that shows the different stages of what's it like in the tummy so that I can pray for his development ...

So on the day before he was born ... I told him that we will be going to the hospital the next day (25 September 2011 2330 check into Mount Alvernia) ... But apparently .. I think konkon is too excited to see the world ... My water bag broke on 25 September 2011 morning ... I feel I was pretty calm ... I ate my breakfast ... Went for shower ... And called hubby ... I didn't even know my water bag burst .. I thought it should be blood flowing out instead or water ... Haha ... Watch too much tv shows ... But even that didn't make me feel nervous at all ... Haha ...

After reaching the hospital ... I was immediately pushed to the delivery ward ... I was lucky that my gynae was also there in the hospital .. Apparently one of her patients who was suppose to induce the next day also broke her water bag! My gynae was telling me jokingly : good la! Tomorrow off day since both of you decided to give birth today! Haha!

The Delivery Ward

She came to check whether I was ready to give birth which I wasn't .. So she broke my water bag further to let all the water flow out ...  After which she left and told me she will be back when I am ready ... The nurses then told me they will serve me lunch and after that I will have to go toilet to flush everything out ... If not Konkon will be born in SHIT! Hahaha ..  And after which I will be induced ...

After lunch ... I was asked to go to the toilet ... When I stood up ... Water just gush out from underneath!!! It sort of reminded me of the feeling when I just got out from a pool ... I was so shocked! I sat down on the bed quickly and asked for the nurse who was in the room ...

Nurse: it's ok.. you can just walk to the toilet ...
Me: but the water keeps coming out ...
Nurse: it's ok.. it's normal ...
Me: You mean this is normal? I can't control it from not flowing out!
Nurse: You are NOT suppose to control it... okok .. Take this sanitary pad and hold it there ...

HAHAHAHAHAHHA!!!! And then I finally got up and went to the toilet after she passed me the sanitary pad ... I apologized to the auntie who came in to mop the floor after that ... She just smiled and told me it's normal ... Well... I didn't expect so much of water to come out ....

I was induced at about 2+pm ... The nurses told me it will be like menses cramp ... A lot of people whom I know told me it's like stomachache or menses cramp ... Well.. If it's gonna be like menses cramp .. Then I have nothing to worry about because I suffer very painful menses cramp which can even cause me to black out ...

After I was induced for an hour ... I begin to feel a slight cramp .. The contraction is not painful ... But just uncomfortable ... And it will just come and go after some time ... Just imagine a bell shape graph ... The contraction started to come and go from a longer to a shorter time interval and the uncomfortable feeling begin to increase as well ... The nurse also put something around my tummy to monitor the contraction ...After don't know how long ... I begin to feel the pain .. And my back was aching so much ... And I had to lie on my side to ease the pain ... But it also cause the machine to have difficulty monitoring my contraction ... The nurses told me that I can ask for epidural if I cannot tahan... If not there is a laughing gas which I can used by the side to lessen the pain.. But breathing in the laughing gas make me feel like puking ... And I got to ask for a bag because I thought I'm gonna throw up ... So in the end I didn't take the laughing gas during the contraction ... I kept looking at the clock as if there's a deadline to this pain ... I sobbed a bit but because of the pain ... But because I was feeling irritated with the contraction ... Haha .. The nurses keep asking me whether I want to take epidural ... But I refused! I begin to feel the contraction like every 10 seconds .. How did I know? Cause I was trying to relax by breathing deeply and counting from 1 to 10 each time I feel the pain ... The nurses checked on me every half an hour .. And told me I wasn't ready... I continue to remain as calm and relax as possible and continue counting from 1 to 10 ... I really think keeping yourself as calm and relax helps ... Because I was actually quite irritated initially and the nurse told me that if it's more difficult for the opening to open if I remain tense ... And true enough .. After I kept calm ... The nurse checked on me and went out .. Few minutes after she left ... I felt my body trying to push involuntary ... I asked hubby to call for nurse and this time I was ready! She was shocked! Because I wasn't even close to ready 5minutes ago!

The nurses guide me in the pushing before my gynae arrives ... Hubby was told to put the mask over my face so that I can breathe in through the laughing gas ... Luckily he was told to do that because I was pushing and forgetting to breathe ... And the nurse got to remind me to breathe ...

And then everything sort of went a bit blur for me ... All I know what to do is to push ... It's more of an involuntary action by the body ... Like when the contraction comes ... I will just push naturally ... I didn't feel painful ... just the need to push ... Hubby told me the whole process took only about half an hour and Konkon is out!!!! The whole induce and giving birth ended at 7+pm ...My mother told me it was considered quite fast ...

After clean up and Day 2

I guess I'm the only few who refuse to take epidural cause all nurses came in to check on me occasionally congratulate and seems pretty impressed by me not taking the epidural ... The nurses in Mount Alvernia are all so nice and professional ... Konkon is fully breastfed ... And all the nurses guide and taught me how to breastfeed ... And luckily for me and Konkon ... He was latching on very well ... And therefore didn't face a lot of difficulties ...

Conclusion: Giving birth is a wonderful experience I would say ... Pain wise ... Overrated by what others told me ... Like how painful it is all this and that ... Hubby asked me why didn't I ask for epidural even though I was in pain and crying ... I cried because I felt so irritated with the whole contraction ... Pain factor is almost the same as my menses cramp ... And most importantly ... I am afraid of needles more than the pain of the contraction ..  The thought of the needle poking down my spine ... nah ... I don't think so ... HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!
